Wonderful outing. Marc, our guide and captain, gave us a complete tour of the bay. He provided a wealth of information, with simple explanations of the bay’s history, descriptions of the bay floor and shoals and the Cabanes Tchanquées. He is unparalleled in his ability to tell the tales behind Cap Ferret houses. A wonderful trip, thank you, Marc! May your passion continue to make the history of Arcachon Bay come alive!

After the Dune du Pilat in the morning, the Grand Tour of Arcachon Bay in the afternoon in beautiful sunny weather. 3 hours to see the entire bay. Our excellent guide explained everything there was to see throughout the trip, from the Ile aux Oiseaux to the fishing huts, Cabanes Tchanquées, oyster farming villages, the point of Cap Ferret and the Dune du Pilat. We had the pleasure of seeing thousands of Brant geese take flight that came to spend the winter here. I recommend this trip.

We chose the tour that leaves from Thiers Pier, travels along the Île aux Oiseaux and Cap Ferret peninsula, with a stopover at Bélisaire. The skipper shared interesting facts throughout the tour, which helped us become better acquainted with the Bay and the environment. We made a stopover at Cap Ferret for the afternoon and returned on the last boat. A lovely visit.

We went on the île aux Oiseaux Tour with Union des Bateliers from 10:30am to 12:30pm. We could book online. Excellent comments during the 2-hour tour (East-North-West tour: on the western side we travelled along Lege-Cap Ferret villages: beautiful photos of the oyster farmers’ huts). Departure from Thiers Pier. Made a stopover at Cap Ferret, where some passengers got off, at around noon to continue visiting Cap Ferret (walks or bike rentals). Great value for the price.

A beautiful trip around the Île aux Oiseaux and Cabanes Tchanquées and oyster-farming villages, with a view of the entrance to the Bay with the seaward side of the Dune du Pyla. It’s nice in September because the boat was not full and we could easily move around to take pictures. The comments during the tour on many different topics were very interesting. The trip is well worth the travel time and price, which is reasonable for the service.

We boarded Akubra at Cap Ferret, our captain, Jules, let us discover the Bay with simple, clear and very informative comments. As a native of the bay, he shared his love of this area with us during this beautiful tour. Many thanks again!

We live in the region and regularly take our guests on UBA trips. Today we chose the Complete Tour of the Bay and had the privilege of boarding the Le Cote d’Argent sailboat, a must! The sailboat is unique in that you sometimes sail in absolute silence. The crew was top-notch. Many thanks for the great comments, crew and boat! A trip to go on again and again!
